CURRENTLY IN PRODUCTION – PREMIERE MARCH 2026
The new production is located between circus and textile art. Artists, especially those who choose object manipulation as their speciality, develop a certain view on objects. STICK – FABRIC OF CIRCUS sets itself the task of examining the „costume“ from this perspective as well: What if the body shell itself carries the object, becomes the object itself, or significantly influences the manipulation of the object because it is part of it? The costume becomes a flexible object that enters into a dialogue with the body. Nevertheless, the costume is understood as an autonomous work of art.
The three artists (Anna Weszelovszky, Christiane Hapt, Sebastian Berger) try to understand the body shell as a three-dimensional canvas that represents a – literally – „flexible“ level of communication.
